We went through the wringer trying to get out of the US and back to Brazil. Sarah was extremely sick with a high fever as we tried to get out of Chicago to Wichita. We finally got routed through Denver (almost missed our flight to Wichita) but finally got in about 7 hours late.
We spent a couple of days with Bruce and Deb. Mom and Dad drove out from Denver to see the new grandbaby. Sarah really didn't want much to do with anybody but me and Shellye.
As we were finishing packing on Thrusday (14 Sep) to leave on Friday the 15th, Hannah, Jesse and Dad started throwing up. Mom started the next morning. Needless to say we were in no shape to get on an airplane. With a miracle from God, we got all our tix changed w/o paying a penalty and were set to take off on Saturday. We had connections from Wichita, Dallas, Sao Paulo to Brasilia. In Wichita boarding the first plane Sam gets this surprised look on his face and says, "I just pooped my pants." After mom gets him cleaned up we are the last ones to board and Sam promptly throws up before we even taxi. Luckily his little system is short and that was his last bout. We boarded in Dallas for a 10-hour flight. Sarah and Sam slept the last eight of those hours.
We finally got into Brasilia about 5pm on Sunday afternoon and seven or eight Attaches and their families were waiting there to see Sarah, it was very nice.
