1 Sep

Hi all,

And hi to Scott and Faye Hodgin in TX. Scott was our music director at Calvary Road in Alexandria before we move to Brazil. Sarah will be one on 6 Oct.

Today we went to the Botanical Gardens.

And like yesterday, baby girl started today's tour napping.

Here's us on a cool little island..

This was a fish pond with like a million koi. I got digital video of a feeding frenzy but the file is pretty big. If I figure out how to post it, I will

And these three gentlemen work in the park. I think I got the point across that I wanted to take their picture and I'm pretty sure they gave me permission. Other than that we didn't have much to talk about.

Sarah continues to blossom into a warm and loving little girl. She smiles all the time now especially at mommy. She really enjoyed bathtime tonight, it was the first time she didn't cry getting wet. She will sit and play by herself instead of needing constant holding and she has discovered her voice is for more than just crying. She coos and babbles a lot now. She also leans in for kisses when she knows a kiss is coming. Tonight we had her playing with one of the other little girls from her orphanage and when we were leaving we brought the two of the them close together and Sarah reached out both her arms to hug her friend, it was incredible to see what love she's learned since Monday.
Physically -- she moves all around on her own now. She'll grab my fingers and walk as long as I'll walk with her. She won't crawl but instead gets on all fours like we would do a bear-walk and go to where she want to go then pull herself up the standing position. I would not be surprised if she started walking before we go home.
See you tomorrow.
